A New York Times Headline I’d Like to See

We needed mainstream media to report on Trump's mental illness before the election, but they're still not doing it.

The New York Times and other media continue to normalize Trump. This, despite his most recent mindless series of posts about a very serious issue: the bombs he dropped on a sovereign nation.

Before I include one of those posts for you, I’ll offer this screenshot of the kind of stuff I’d like to see:

We can laugh at the Scaramucci fiction, but if the mainstream press expended even a fraction of the energy detailing Trump’s disease as they gave Biden’s memory issues, Ivy League schools might do such a thing as mentioned in the fake article.

And we Americans might be spared the daily moronapalooza.

I’d like you to take a moment to review this screenshot of a post Trump made last night.

How did every mainstream media story on this post not lead off the headline with, “WTF?”

Most news services took their best shot at interpreting what he said without mentioning the mangled English. This is his normal. But it should not be our normal. We should not say to the 70+ million Americans who voted for him that this is an acceptable literacy level from an American president, whether the post is from a madman or simply a wildly ignorant one.

Instead, the media covered it as if he had achieved his goals and the mission was accomplished.

The ayatollahs, of course, are smiling in agreement. “Yes, God bless America, God bless Donald, and we may even nominate you for a Nobel Peace Prize.”

While they sharpen their blades for their response.
