I don't get why Democrats are so polite, playing by a rulebook the Republicans don't observe. Just for one possibility I've been posting this, with no reactions. No replies, no likes, no nothing, instead of it stimulating conversation: "How about a coup to install a presidential team: Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance, Anne Applebaum, and Marianne Williamson? Just picture such warm, smart, human-loving human beings leading our way. They issue a statement that they are taking charge, and so many millions would be on the streets in Washington that they couldn’t be thwarted. And our lives could be good times!"
It would have been very interesting if Marianne Williamson had won the Democratic primary (her best shot was probably the first one).
But, wow, if this country was truly capable of electing someone like that president. Trump would never have seen the light of day during any presidential campaign.
We don't really do enlightened. We seem more inclined towards the opposite.
She is so right on, so sincere, so beautiful. The political world doesn't get her at all -- no votes from the 400+ voters for chair of the DNC, where in the showcases she was like an angel and everyone should have been at her feet. I keep thinking of that adage where first they ignore you and then they laugh and eventually they applaud. There is no one in the political world like her.
