Why are people with high levels of access and responsibility in government not expected to be random drug tested?

As a former mid-level federal manager, the reason is because they make the rules. I was “eligible” for random drug testing for my entire career because I was in a safety-related position. My boss wasn’t, so he wasn’t.

But for someone with access to sensitive info being allowed to run around as if higher than a kite? I tend to be a trusting person but don’t trust what is going on right now at all. Musks behavior should be ringing alarm bells for everyone.

This is why I used strikethrough on all of it. I wrote the original two weeks ago. It no longer applies. And our Democratic senators are doing NOTHING to stop it aside from tweeting and writing strongly worded letters.
