Half off a yearly plan plus a promo

Lion with megaphone yelling, "It all ends on January 15th!!"
As the new year commences, I’ll start by wishing you a happy one with this half-off deal on my yearly paid subscription plan. It’s only valid until January 15, so as the old late-night TV commercial might say, “Act Now!”
For those of you not old enough to remember those old commercials, I guess the equivalent would be something like, “The Antarctic glaciers are melting! Act now if you want to check out a tropical island!”1
Besides, today is January 6, a day that a certifiable nut gets certified by a certifiable congress as part of an unpleasant reminder that the world is ending soon. Does it really matter where you send your money to?
I’ve explained in other posts that my paid subscription plan is mostly just about you offering support for my writing. The vast majority of my content is free. I’m currently working on a new novel and will post some early peeks for paying subscribers, but that’s about it when it comes to paid stuff. And, honestly, I don’t know when I’ll be happy enough with a chapter to post it. Hopefully, before the certifiables trigger their Malthusian event.
The novel was slowed down by a medical/health incident that I’m still dealing with, but I’m in recovery mode and have re-engaged. I’ll be posting about that incident on another platform, Medium, soon, but for now, the info is all governed by HIPAA laws. :-)
Thank you to all my new subscribers! I’m glad you’re here. Remember that you can filter out newsletters you aren’t interested in by topic. If you only want fiction newsletters, you can mute all the others. If you only want political newsletters, you can mute fiction. Etc.
If you don’t know how to do this on Substack, you can check out this post for an explainer:
Many thanks to Walter Rhein for this tip.

SECRETS HAVE A WAY OF SURFACING...
Mira believes she has her family’s dysfunction under control—until her grandmother’s funeral stirs up long-buried questions. She has always believed her father’s side of the family is more stable than her mother’s, despite his past indiscretions. But an ancestry test links him to a hidden relative he swears he doesn’t know.
Determined to uncover the truth, Mira digs deeper. But someone is desperate to bury the past, along with her family name. Mira wants the secrets, betrayals, and old wounds to end with her—even if it means risking everything she loves: her marriage, her children, and the family name she’s fighting to save.
After The Girl Once Known and The Bond Once Broken, the series reaches its thrilling conclusion in The Name Once Erased.
That’s it for now! Thanks for reading and subscribing!
