As a newly converted fan of your fiction AND nonfiction, I did what I do with my favorite artists: I went and paid for the paper copy of your book. Looking forward to reading it in full after the snippets you have posted here, and if it’s as kid-friendly as you (and the glowing reviews on prime) describe… I’ve got four little grandsons I’ll share it with.

While stumbling into this neighborhood of niche favorites, I have to juxtapose your superb political discourse articles. I absolutely love your work and commentary on state of the union, and think you are one of the best around. Maybe, don’t quit your day job! Ps I three friends who love your genre of work; they are writers as well and happily obsessed.

Wow, thank you so much! Your kind words will light another political discourse fire soon! The state of the union offers much fuel for said fire! :-)

No, unfortunately. They're in most regions of Canada. There are maga-types in my own area in southern Ontario. They're just as toxic as the American version.

That is very unfortunate. It's a perplexing phenomenon.

In Canada, the price is still $21.95 for MagicLand in paperback and $7.99 for the Kindle edition.

Canadians realize that it's worth a lot more than 50 cents. Maybe there are more literate people up here, per capita. :-)

You're very kind (well, duh, you're Canadian)! :-)

Also, regarding your second sentence, I have no doubt. If Trump wins the election (he won't) they'll have to seal the border to keep those who didn't vote for him from flooding into the country. It'll be worse than the most dystopian climate refugee sci-fi stories.

I can't even imagine that convicted felon actually winning an election. As far as I know, 81 million people voted for Biden last go-round and when they all come to Canada if Trump wins (God forbid), our current population of 41,717,005 would have to start building more cities in which to house all the new people. What would be exciting is that the Canadian Maple Leaf MAGA would move down to the US, freeing up the housing market here. Win/win for all.

"Canadian Maple Leaf MAGA would move down to the US..."

Aren't they all in Alberta? :-)
