Have Brainworms Taken Over America?
I'm starting to think it's an invasion
While going on a blocking spree today,1 I stumbled upon one account in particular that caught my attention for its interest in a variety of odd subjects. Its most prominent Substack subscription was to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Substack, which has 70,000+ subscribers, or, to put it more glumly, about 68,500 more than mine here at Ruminato.
I was most interested in a comment someone made about how Joe Rogan has transformed from a fairly interesting podcaster, to a wildly paid one, to one who many folks say mostly wants to expand bro culture as deeply into the soul of the earth as possible, scorching everything in its path that has even a hint of a femine vein.
The anti-Rogan commenter said something about his debate opponent and Rogan losing “the plot.”
I wasn’t quite sure what he meant by that, partly because it was a long thread and I was probably missing some context. But what began as a debate over the merits of Rogan became something different and strange. It became this (grammar as is):
The Plot ???? The reason I disagree with a lot of what you say is simple.Everything you said and pontificate on comes completely out of you sole knowledge of Western Eurocentric Cartesian Dualism. You don’t seem to have a clue about Pantheistic Neutral Monistic Reality. There are only four concepts of reality.
Everything you pontificate or write about comes from Western Binary Cartesian logic.
There are three types of Monism as opposed to your brain’s lockdown on Western European Cartesian Dualism. One is monism where the physical existence is more important than the mental. The other is that the mental is more important than the physical BUT IN BOTH CASES they exist in a continuum.
Your Western Educated Cartesian Metaphysics and Ontology is almost 99% Binary in that the physical and mental are separated.
There is a third Monistic Reality that exists as the Qi in the Tao Te Ching, the Polynesian Mana of the Teolt in the Nahua or Maya ( Mesoamerican) Metaphysics and Ontology is almost. Only Spinoza ever exposed that as a European. When ask if he believed in God , Einstein said that he believed in Spinoza’s God .
Question do you even know the third type of Monism and can give its three parts. Please answer.

My apologies to those of you who are deeply enmeshed in any of these philosophies, but whew! What a segue. And if you are/were a philosophy major, kudos to you for trying to figure out the human mess.
Anyhoo, that reply is what led me down the darker path of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Substack, where I went no further than the screen nag asking me to subscribe. I politely declined, thought about writing a long screed about the whole experience, then decided that what I’ve written is enough.
What else is there to say? We’ve been invaded by brainworms. Perhaps from another planet. Or maybe Russia. I need to research the latest conspiracy theories to make a more formal pronouncement.
I saw the aforementioned thread before I noticed that a prominent Substacker posted the “manifesto” (rant) of the nutter who shot up the Capital Jewish Museum and killed two innocent people, thus setting back the Palestinian cause in America about fifty years.
That shooting reminded me, in turn, of the assassination of Israeli Labor leader Yitzak Rabin in 1995 by an extreme far-right Israeli nationalist who was upset by the peace process of that era because there was one.
That occurred in the pre-brainworm era, but it reminded me that even when we do make progress in the Middle East, some extremist jerk from one of the Abrahamic religions pulls the plug.
Brainworms in our modern era help explain the fact that, after all we’ve seen the mad king do and say, not just during the past 100+ days, but during the past ten years (almost), he still has about a forty percent approval rating. Something is in the water. Or maybe long Covid has such a tenacious grip on our neurons that we’ve lost the ability to think. Actually…
It isn’t his policies that concern me in this regard. It’s that the madman in the Oval Office comes across as a psycho. Yes, his policies, such as they are, are irredeemably awful. But it’s not really possible to listen to or watch him and not be painfully aware that his hippocampus has been damaged beyond repair.
We all live in a society where nearly 40% of us (according to questionable polling, but let’s not quibble over point spreads when we all know that a lot of people still support him) seem to be perfectly fine with this kind of social media post from the President of the formerly United States:
Drink it in for a minute, then ask your Uncle Charlie (apologies for those who share my first name) what in the name of the new Pope is going on that anybody can be comfortable with this kind of lunacy coming out of the Oval Office.
Out of the daily dose of his mad, insane rants (manifestos) comes a small pit of vipers led by Stephen Miller and his boss, Susie Wiles, who are throwing people onto airplanes without due process and sending them to places like South Sudan, Libya, and the tortured remains of what was once a hopeful El Salvador that not too long ago looked to be on the verge of a reasonably successful experiment with democracy but is now led by yet another corrupt dictator.

The Tribune report says:
Federal agents appeared to have arrested several people inside Chicago’s immigration court on Wednesday and Thursday, lawyers told the Tribune, in what seems to be the latest escalation in President Donald Trump’s bid to enact mass deportations.
Throughout Wednesday, groups of men were spotted detaining individuals inside the downtown courthouse, with many of those agents wearing badges or verbally identifying themselves as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, according to four attorneys. More arrests were seen Thursday, according to the National Immigrant Justice Center.
An ICE spokesperson did not provide comment, but a Tribune reporter also witnessed three individuals being taken into custody by men dressed in plainclothes and holding clipboards early Wednesday afternoon. Their lawyer, Essam Abdallah, told the Tribune his clients are immigrants who have been in the country for under two years but did not know where they were being taken.
“I’m not sure what’s going on,” a surprised Abdallah said as he left the courthouse to find a way to help his clients.
News outlets across the U.S. have similarly reported on federal agents detaining individuals during immigration hearings and check-ins in Dallas, Phoenix and Seattle this month. In Chicago, several attorneys who were at the immigration courthouse Wednesday said they noticed men sitting by the waiting area and inside the courtrooms, with one lawyer saying he followed the detainees to the fourth floor where immigration arrests are processed.
Two things are going on here:
The United States under the current regime, led by Susie Wiles and her immediate underling Stephen Miller, is establishing a network of rendition countries, snatching up people who’ve never lived in these nations, and sending them to concentration camps there without any due process. Even if there was due process, what kind of maniacal behavior is this? It’s clearly a violation of the Eighth Amendment, which demands both due process and no cruel and unusual punishment.
It continues and extends the intimidation of not just immigrants, but immigration court judges, one of whom was arrested in Michigan for trying to follow basic tenets of American law regarding immigration proceedings.2
Many Americans support tougher treatment of immigrants. Not necessarily because they are filled with brainworms, but because Fox News and its allied media, including the likes of Joe Rogan, have convinced many of them that immigration is somehow bad, while also insisting we need to make more babies.
You don’t need to watch Fox News to be influenced by their 24/7 propaganda. It all filters down into our brains.
A doctor might look inside our brains and not find any signs of brainworm activity, but they’re there, even if they only take the form of successful propaganda messaging.

I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States. Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country. If I wasn’t elected, it would have been GONE by now! Sleepy Joe didn’t have a clue as to what he was doing, but Springsteen is “dumb as a rock,” and couldn’t see what was going on, or could he (which is even worse!)? This dried out “prune” of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just “standard fare.” Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!

It's an invasion of dumb and dumber. It's a damned cult and I never in my life would have thought America could be this senseless and vulnerable.
