Why small pox on this list? Even the CDC acknowledges that small pox was eradicated circa 1980 in the wild. Only the Russians and Americans allegedly still have samples.

I didn't make the list. The CDC did. But I can tell you that the purpose of some vaccines, including measles and polio, is to maintain the eradication or near eraradication of a virus. The reason we are having measles outbreaks is because antixaxxers have a crested a foothold of anti science in the United States. Measles was defeated. Now it has returned.

Yeah, if it wasn’t for some endemic hot spots in Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc. We could have a real shot at eradicating measles and chicken pox too. But there, the theocracy is even crazier than here so far.

Still hoping to get an updated Covid shot soon. So glad my kids are old enough to have had most vaccinations already. Herd immunity is running far more ragged than people are realizing.

I got mine not too long ago. It feels like I've had 8 or 9 now. Every 6 months. But next time around might be trickier.

“The CDC version is likely to disappear as soon as RFK Jr. discovers that it is there.”

I’m surprised this list is still there, figured they’d want to make polio great again.
