Thanks to the Big Bullshit Bill, the regime now has an almost incomprehensible $240 billion to spend on Stephen Miller’s ethnic cleansing programs.
Some of that spending is now funnelled into places you’ll never hear about, such as local police departments.
ICE has developed a federally funded program that pays local police departments $100,000 for vehicles, $7,500 for each cop who joins the program, and federal funding to cover quarterly performance bonuses involving deportation numbers, salaries, and overtime.
The program recruits local municipal police agencies and county sheriff departments.
ICE is transforming your local police departments into centers of terrorism against their own citizens.
According to this ProPublica report, “More than 1,900 agencies in at least 30 states have signed up for ICE’s task force model, with more than 29,000 deputized officers. With their help, ICE recently hit a record of immigration arrests, totaling more than 50,000 in August.”
This is a story about one of their new stormtroopers, a local cop in Ingram Texas who has singlehandedly deported ten percent of his town.
And it’s about a town where the streets have gone silent as its residents cower in fear.
There’s no way I can do justice to this article. I’m not going to try to blow you away with my usual snark. Partly, because I’m too freaked out about the growing police state we have become, and partly because I want the facts to do the talking.
So you’ll need to read the story on ProPublica, which is free, no paywall, no nagging popups, no ads. Just pure journalistic integrity, a rarity during these times:
A Texas Cop Signed on to Help ICE Deport His Neighbors. It Tore the Town Apart.

If you come back when you’re done, please restack this. It’s important. And vote.

I note the map in the ProPublica article shows the states, counties, and local jurisdictions that have signed up for the ICE program as being Red states, except three that are or have concentrated cities that are Purple, plus a few local outliers in Minnesota. No surprise there. Here’s my big worry. Come Election Day(s), these part time local police and sheriff ICE enablers are not federal military or armed officers. What’s to keep them from surveilling polling places and intimidating voters of color?
