Schadenfreude comes to mind, a word that I've heard increasingly in recent months and that I'm familiar with as German was my first language. There's also the arrest of the Tate brothers, the merciless ridiculing of what they were wearing (something I wouldn't normally subscribe to, but they really had it coming) and their whining about being kept gaoled (or, US jailed) on remand and the irony of their without “any contact with the outside world” considering they were tweeting incessantly. Doesn't sound very ‘alpha male’ to me, more ‘snowflake’. Again, those are terms I wouldn't normally resort to… And we have a new Prime Minister who is at least positive. I fear he's falling into some of the same pits as Starmer did, especially regarding Gaza, but we'll see. All in all, things are starting to look up! 😊
Thanks for that comment. I could have written a post about those two, but I saw too many other Substack posts out there and nixed the idea. I settled on a Note that said, in reference to their incarceration, that now they'll know what real cage fighting is. They are already complaining about the neighbors.
