What's ironic about the right wing espousal of Ayn Rand's "philosophy" is the fact that "she called government handouts "immoral," but there is evidence that she accepted Social Security benefits in her later years." And found a way to justify it.

That's utter hypocrisy.

And it's doubtful she needed it, although I don't know if her books sold well before or after her death.
