I'm surprised there isn't a coup in play. Bloodless. I've written this:
"How about a coup to install a presidential team: Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance, Anne Applebaum, and Marianne Williamson? Just picture such warm, smart, human-loving human beings leading our way. They state that they are taking charge, and so many millions would be on the streets in Washington that they couldn’t be thwarted."
We have a president who declares he hates my state and all Democrats. He is blatantly and proudly dictatorial. And we don't have provisions for a president having corrupted the other branches so there aren't checks and balances. We are in freefall, so can we talk about a more urgent response than organizing for future elections?

All the gerrymandering/redistricting that the Supreme Court seemed last week to be prepared to allow will make it hard to take the house. We need to find a way to get young people more engaged in the voting process, because every seat is winnable, even in red states, if we do. They are inherently opposed, in their minds, to everything Trump, but cynical about the Democrats. Understandable, but that attitude needs to change for the midterms. Fix things later.

I watched it once, contemplated the distinction there once was between "nauseas" and "nauseated" and decided that in this instance either would work.
