Excellent report and opinion on the news. Every headline in every MSM blared with palpable breathlessness, even if only printed, that the felonpotus was safe. The cabinet and regime (my word) actors were safe. The famous people were safe. As if this was some nuclear bomb attempt. Because of my outlook on this regime is also palpable, the obsequiousness of the regime players, and of the corporate media, is a horror reality show re-run of The Apprentice. It's not the safety that was so bothersome, sorta, it was the media treating this as if some kind of Armageddon was avoided. The suspect was apprehended after apparently firing a weapon while upstairs from the ballroom. He was nowhere near the ballroom. He was up on the foyer/lobby. Reporting implied he was just outside the doors. No doubt this is the clincher for the fpotus’s gold ballroom. Never missing an egotistical showman/conman act, he'll bleed this for all its worth. Not literally, of course. I can wait forever to see what some rando or staged event he'll next use to promote himself as a savior once again, while trampling on our rights and the law as usual.
It's intriguing that they took out Vance before Trump.
I think that only a fake blood capsule was used in Butler - the Toddler wouldn't have been ok with an actual razor cut. That would hurt, and the sight of real blood tends to sicken him.
About the invited crowd, I wrote this last night after seeing the "Breaking News":

Actually, a lot of this does make sense. And half the country thinking it’s faked elevates it above your run of the mill conspiracy theory. If I ever find the time to write it all out and post it, I do have a credible theory. And part of that is why Vance was taken away before an unsurprised tRump. Remember, there are some very powerful men (all men, all unbridled capitalist, christian nationalist fascist oligarchs), business titans, former, current, and future politicians and government officials that have been very busy plotting this out for decades.
Since I think I might know where you're going with this, I'll point you to some dystopian fiction I wrote a ways back that carries what I'm guessing you are thinking to the next level and beyond:
I do remember reading that one. The Substack App shows I gave it a “like” up vote. We both agree PT is definitely involved, so you’re correct on my direction. My theory is more similar to one of Robert Ludlum’s earlier novels. I need to go dig through my paperback book collection to find which book. It’s amazing that his fictional writing in the 1970’s and 80’s is now real time.
So tRump is able to get off a “quick” social media post while awaiting to see if the Secret Service will evacuate him from a safe holding place returning him and the Mrs. to the White House. That post is lengthy and more or less has correct grammar and sentence structure. The statement actually praises law enforcement. (Wasn’t it law enforcement that attempted to protect the Capitol and Congress on Jan 6 from “true patriots”?). Later in the evening in a White House press conference, in his usual incoherent speaking style, gives a statement. This seems to be a trend - the social media posts don’t seem to come from the same brain that later operates the mouth. Are they pre written by others? Is this yet another staged event? Add the non-surprised look on his face at the head table when everyone else looked shocked. Notice the Secret Service grabbed JD Vance first and whisked him away and then came back for tRump? Just another big FAKE, big LIE.
JD being whisked away first is 180 degrees from the joke when George H. W. Bush was president - if there was ever an attempt on Bush’s life, the Secret Service was instructed to immediately shoot Dan Quayle.
I saw a picture with a note being passed just moments before, too, but I've been having trouble discovering which is a fake picture and which is real. There are lots of both floating around out there.
