Thank you! Been looking for a replacement for the NYTimes and the Wash Post, both of which are worthless. Tribune looks like a good choice, and the photography is superb.

excellent article. thanks for covering this.

i do want to dispute mr evans’ claim that non lethal weapons are harmless. if you’re wearing contacts, tear gas can cause permanent corneal damage. if you’re shot in the face with pepper balls or rubber bullets, they can and will puncture eyes and lodge in brains.

i get where he’s coming from, and i appreciate his personal courage but let’s not spread what amounts to medical disinformation.

during the george floyd protests, a journalist was shot in the face and the “non lethal” projectile pierced her goggles, destroyed her eye and left her with TBI.

she’s dead now. from “non lethal weapons”.
