The only thing I can say in response is that I will only vote for a Democrat for president who agrees to hold this entire criminal cabal accountable for their crimes. In order for our country to heal from the many instances of crimes against humanity, they must all be charged and tried for the hell they’ve enacted on the American people.
I doubt any Dem would DARE run on "reconciliation." But I also expect to see trump pardon, in his last days, pretty much everyone who ever agreed with him, and we will be faced with the interesting question of whether pardons signed by autopen count.....
I think the only way to avoid a mass pardon like you’re talking about is death in office or a miracle midterm election that sweeps out most Republicans, which I honestly don’t discount, depending on ruination levels.
I don't watch TV so I don't know how it handled "I'm glad he's dead" (except for Fox, which ignored it). But CNN, NYT, even WaPo did cover it, the NYT with a long editorial.
Paul Krugman has an interesting video on his Substack in which he wonders about insider trading here in oil futures: Selling them high as the world worries about trumpish war crimes, buying them back when he TACOs.
I don’t watch cable news, either, but I didn’t notice much coverage in mainstream media. The obligatory headline, but nothing that went deep. If it had been Biden, or, Oh em gee, Obama, the coverage would be non stop. Just imagine if it had been Obama. Not just Fox. They all would have torn him apart for weeks. It’s the only thing we’d see in the media. With Trump, like everything he does, it’s mentioned, and forgotten.
