It didnβt take long for the lyrics. Like, a half hour. They came pretty naturally. I used a hip hop slang dictionary to confirm the use of words was correct, but Iβd heard of most of the words. I wasnβt certain of the meaning of all them, though, so I looked them up. Looking them up helped generate a few lines of lyrics, of course.
There's something to be said about living in this timeline where we have instant access to as much knowledge and info we can digest... and sometimes more.
It's a heady thing to have this. I find that it boosts creativity exponentially.
Many take it for granted but it thrills me to bits - probably because most of my life was lived without computers, internet, cellphones, tablets, and all the rest of the gadgets and gizmos. All we had back in the day were libraries and transistor radios. Oh, and black and white TVs. π
I'm not a fan. But in this case, I felt it was an appropriate medium for making a statement. I'm not naive enough to think AI is going away, but I think we need guardrails.
One of the things I asked of the few readers who read my stuff before the election was, "Who do you want overseeing AI?"
But I asked an echo chamber. Trump supporters don't read me. The readers I had didn't need convincing about who that choice should be.
It should have been asked by Democrats when the campaign was in gear. A big miss there.
Too bad Kid Rock didnβt have this!! Sigh. Another tech improvement that basically enriches tech bros and at first glance seems to open up many doors. But as weβve experienced with other tech improvements, thereβs a dark underbelly thatβs either deemed being a Luddite or a technophobe. Iβm seeing in my workplace a lot of the negative, which right now, impacts blue collar workers and jobs at an alarming rate. Itβs storming mid management and white collar workers as we speak. People generally seem to me like lemmings; theyβll jump over any tech cliff to be first with the new technology, and any guardrails or regulations are met with scorn. Iβve heard said that streaming services such as Spotify are on the way out because of ai and tech advances. (Itβs said it fosters customization over creativity). If weβre informed of the potential side effects of medications, we should have full disclosure regarding tech.
Totally agree with you. Interesting to remember that in early years tech bros were like hippies. But just like them, a little βpowerβ went to their heads and they became as judgmental as the establishment. I donβt care about motivation when I see the disastrous results (Trump clearing out the swamp and filling it with mutants)
Fo shizzle, Charles! ππππ
Is shizzle a rap word? Dammit! That would have been a good one to use!
Snoop Dog slang for "For sure". I speak multilingual slang. LOL
That is bloody hilarious and brilliant. Where did you learn that hip hop lingo?
How long did it take you to compose the lyrics?
Thanks. :-)

Definitely not trump or any of his ilk.

Absolutely to all of that. I avoid using it, but it felt somewhat appropriate given the regimeβs use of it. I mostly wanted to make a statement.
This regime even used it to create almost 100 Executive Orders in a few days.
I remember asking people before the election, who do you want overseeing AI?
78 million voters, unbelievably, said Trump.

Perfect.
