Where to start? I’ve been off the internet for awhile. I want to say to all the Republican women who voted for trump: What in the blue fuck were you thinking? It’s fine that trump’s CV was more about sexually assaulting women, portraying the worst kind of misogynistic, racist, ableist, and bigoted behaviour? How in hell could a woman anywhere vote for this vile person? I really hope you get some kind of retribution for what you’ve done. You stupid fucks.

That’s all I have to say, Charles. I hope you’re well.

Whew! I'm glad I'm not a Magat in your line of fire on Facebook! :-)

I'm doing -- well, as good as can be expected I guess. I hope you are well and your time off the internet was freeing for you.

😅 I just gave them what for! 😅

You’re safe, don’t worry.

Glad to hear things are going as good as can be expected. Same here.

In my opinion, you should mention why the TRUMP government wants voter data. In the case of red states it is likely to update the data base of the HERITAGE FOUNDATION to provide lists of "questionable" voters to be provided to VIGILANTES, to be send to state county clerks for their removal from the rolls, as permitted by legislation in red states (see the VIGILANTES INC video at gregpalast.com ).

I say let them have the save act. Let's pull their eye teeth.

I hope you’re right about voter turn out and the Epstein files.

By the way, Ohios voter roll data has already been turned over to the feds by the obsequious republican Frank LaRose.

These enablers make me more angry than Trump. Trump at least has an excuse. He’s insane.

There may be three things that invite consideration:

First, the willingness of MAGA women to be complicit in their own demise. For what are often outlandish uses of Scripture, these women believe their families are most holy if the man is in charge. What to do!

Second, the Act, as you described above, will enhance the prerogatives of County Clerks to make “at the window” determinations about when someone is “ a minority.” Take that word at full impact. Single women? A “sinful” divorcee who is reviled by all those nice Christians in town? A democrat with a dark complexion? An African American (of course!). Gays? You betcha. A county clerk already tried this once and lost (with an overwhelming financial judgement too!). However, we mustn’t ignore the wedding cake baker who refused to make a cake for a gay couple. She won. My point is that the DAVE act will allow a single person to play by his own rules, and there goes your vote. Armed with such discriminatory powers, the clerks in a given state can just toss Obbergefeld into the round file…forever.

Lastly, there is the source: Chip Roy, a venal, self-centered, roundly acknowledged moron whose IQ would need a ladder to get to zero. He’s already on record for saying that he wants to kill Social Security because “seniors cheat on it.” That’s close to a statistical improbability, and it’s ageism at its most naked. Do you know anyone who has succeeded in scamming SS? How about Chip’s mom for starters? As we see more and more with each passing day, the willfully ignorant can and will destroy whatever they wish, just to then claim they have the power and the right to remake it as they see fit. (The ACA for example.). The only thing worse than Chip Roy is the image conjured by seriously imagining what kind of folks sent this low wattage Neanderthal to Washington. Thanks to the DAVE Act, they shall reap what they have sown.

Charles, You state “my bet is that the low information voters that have been such suckers for Republican propaganda will sit out the midterms.” What makes you think they will? Many a tRump loving MAGA have gone stealth, pulling down their tRump flags and pulling up lawn signs - all out of embarrassment or not wanting to be linked in favor of the Trumpstein - Netanyahu War, but are still true backers of tRump, MAGA, and rethuglicans up and down the ballot. The low information Christofascist will still vote as directed by their pastors. Their trad-wife, the same, because she’s heard it from “their man” that rules the house and their pastor. The low information Hispanic is pissed really big and will vote against the Anti-Christ Orange Satan endorsed candidates.

I think that if the act is passed, they’ll be flummoxed on HOW to vote. These people don’t study warning labels on Drano, much less on how to deal with complex new voting regulations. Besides, I’m not much worried about the diehard Trumpies. They’re hopeless human beings, anyway. The ones that matter are the low information voters who voted for Trump because they’re too lazy to do their own research, so they join the herd.

I offer as further proof that my California county, slowly shifting more Blue, pushing MAGA further east into the back country announced an average life expectancy 2.3 years greater than the national average and 0.2 years more than the state average.

TRumpfers are “hopeless human beings”? You give them way too much biological credit. They diverged from Homo sapiens. In a few centuries evolutionary biologists will examine their brains - shrunken from lack of use; skeletal, muscular, and cardiovascular system development differs from a changed diet of only McDonalds, Diet Coke, and cans of American Macrobrew beer; stronger forearms and thumbs and fingers from use of tv remotes to flip between cage fighting and Faux News.

That they stop their trad wives from voting is a bonus—keeps em under the thumb. Losing GOP votes doesn’t matter at all when you’re rigging the count, anyway.
