I was thinking of unwritten rules and societal norms, today. On one hand it’s amazing that we haven’t already had a wannabe strongman try to subvert our democracy. On the other hand, look how far the republicans got under cover of those same ideals.
There is no depth to which they won’t sink, no lie they wouldn’t tell, and no acts too despicable for them to perpetrate, as long as they get/retain power in the end.
It’s so bad now that I’ve found myself, on occasion, wondering if in fact I’M the conspiracy theorist. It’s bizzaro-world.
