Glad I canceled my subscription

There's a reason the NYT and WaPo have lost so many subscribers. I don't miss them at all. Well, maybe Alexandra Petri, but she left too.

Corporate media is dead to me.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I saw somewhere that the Times is doing very well, partly on the strength of side hustles like Wurdle and The Athletic. The Washington Post, I believe, is struggling big time, though, and losing some of its better journalists.

I don't wish the NYT harm. I was aware that their offering games and sports was saving them. I also gave up tv. I'm sure no one misses me.

I rely on you brilliant people who take the time to inform me.

Charming, eh?

I understand. Mainstream media is why we are in this predicament. Worst of all, they know it.

Are you available to hire as an editor? This was delicious. Hmmmm. That’s probably not the best word.

I'd probably be a much better editor for others than I am for myself. I quickly spot trouble with other folks' writing that I'd miss on my own stuff. I assume that's normal. And, thanks!

I don't have any sounding board. My assistant is a mechanic. No help from her. Want a client?

Lol, sure. DM me. :-)

Great piece, Charles. I love the step-by-step analysis of this poor effort by whoever this woman is. They continue to protect the felon...and I'll never understand why. Gotta be money.

They do it at our peril.

Thanks, Susan. I could probably do 100 articles a day like this if I had the time. That's how bad the problem is.

I quit the NYT long ago. You did a terrific job here. 😂😂😂

I turn off my JavaScript if I need to read an article. That defeats the paywall.

Susan Niemann's avatar

ooooohhhhhh…. good to know. ✊🏻

Most sites are like that but some do paywalls server side: Wall Street Journal, for example. Washington Post used to be accessible via turned off JavaScript, but they updated recently and no longer are.

NYT sounding like sleepy AI.

Bill gates, browder, palinter, Facebook all of them used Epstein to raise fund. Israeli startups used his service.
