It has to be that this is too good for a big engagement, where it could take a while for readers to start breathing and start writing. Big wow!

One thing that keeps echoing in my mind, as a single contradiction that says it all, is draining the swamp of all those foreign criminals we've let cross our borders, who in fact mostly aren't criminals, while filling the swamp with all those American criminals being pardoned, who for sure all are criminals.

I do think the craziest people are us, who are letting a demented person with access to that big button, who includes cruelty on his list of being the best at everything, remain in office.

Thank you, Sue. I, too, have been flummoxed about the phenomenon. I've considered many theories: mass psychosis, aliens, you name it. In the end, this, as you well know, all falls upon us to solve. Thanks again.

Big engagement here, couldn't put it down. Wow, indeed. Every point perfect. The idea of "Donald J. Trump" being named executor of this Last Will caps the absurdities. It seems we have a moveable feast here now. Various parties are claiming no responsibility, and I suspect it will go back to the drawing board, if only to remove the obviously Russian phrasings. The "Thanksgiving deadline," (how did Trump come up with this beauty?) is almost in the rear view mirror, as we labor on in search of something vaguely rational. Nicely written piece, Sr. Bastille.

Thank you. I feel a little dirty because I have to acknowledge that it was kind of fun to write. But I do have colleagues from my software days that I consider friends in Ukraine, so it's sort of gut wrenching, too.

The $100 bn is not for Ukraine, but for rebuilding and renovating the oil and gas pipelines so they can transport oil and gas from Russia to Europe via Ukraine (and perhaps the Nord Stream 1, of which both pipes were blown up, and one blown NS-2). Nothing will be used for Ukraine.

Is this anything like the “ceasefire” slaughter happening in Gaza? Can anyone get their hands on the details of the ceasefire there? I’m sure most of the details sounded exactly like this one except all Palestinians must be removed one way or another as their starting and ending point. I’m sick of this shit. We have an extremely sick nation with a Nazi regime.

Both plans were conceived by Witkoff, probably with the help of AI, which the regime uses for almost everything. They have no interest at all on the people they affect. They're only interested on developing ways to profit from it.

Thank you, Susan. The wackiness of this regime would be a lot funnier if they were all inside a cage.

This whole plan that excludes the invaded party sickens me.

But there could be some bright spots. For example, since we are taking our World Leader Status seriously, we need to create a shining example and join the plan, so the US agrees: **

-- to create "educational programs in schools and society aimed at promoting understanding and tolerance of different cultures and eliminating racism and prejudice;"

---to "abolish all discriminatory measures and guarantee the rights of US media and education [including the rights of members of the press not to be called derogatory names or told they are stupid] "

and to "adopt EU rules on religious tolerance and the protection of linguistic minorities" that are stricter than our own. "

We could also use any profits from all those ventures to aid emigration to the US of all those in the "ceded" territories who really don't want to live under Russian rule, with the proviso that such immigrants need spend a maximum of 5 years picking our crops before being allowed to become green card holders, since they ARE after all, not brown.

The DEI references in the AI-authored "peace plan" were particularly hilarious, given the source. Did they not read it before it was leaked to the press? Usually these things are leaked to the press as sort of a trial balloon, but my guess is that, like in Trump 1.0, there are people who hate the regime embedded within it, wreaking havoc.

Yes, it’s the Trump Capitulation and Enrichment Plan.

I am a Russian and worked with Rus bureaucracy for decades. I see all the style, Russism, and bureaucratic patterns. The Russians (Kirill D., and others) did not proofread it before translation, they did not read it after translation really, and seems that S. Witkoff and Co have did not read it before publishing either.

Moscow owns and control Witkoff, Hegseth, Trump exactly because they are aggressively incompetent and too corrupt.

Below is how a normal document would look like if it was written by a somehow educated American, and even that is not a professional diplomatic document.

Europe must develop a Russia strategy ASAP. They talk about a Ukraine strategy, but that’s a false premise. It’s a Russian war, Russia’s war, not Ukraine’s war, so it should be a Russia strategy and policy. Such a policy must include harsh dealing with Russian agents in Europe, such as Orban and Fico, Farage, and AfD. e.g. they must be deleted from the EU and UK.

Preamble

The Parties, recognizing the urgent need to end hostilities and establish lasting peace, agree to the following provisions:

Security and Sovereignty

1. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine shall be formally affirmed.

2. A comprehensive non‑aggression agreement shall be concluded between the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and European partners, thereby resolving outstanding disputes of the past three decades.

3. The Russian Federation shall commit not to undertake military action against neighboring states, and NATO shall commit to refrain from further enlargement.

4. A structured dialogue between the Russian Federation and NATO, facilitated by the United States, shall address security concerns and promote de‑escalation, global stability, and opportunities for cooperation and economic development.

5. Ukraine shall be provided with credible and enforceable security guarantees.

Thanks a lot for the comment. I've had close friends in both countries. Sadly, I don't know where my Russian friends are these days. Anyway, you'll be interested in knowing that I've updated this because Rubio is now denying everything. "Didn't happen! This was all just a big mistake!" Or something to that effect. These people (the Trump regime) are crazy.

This is all to similar to all the vagueness and ambiguities of the Orange Satan’s Gaza Peace Plan. Rubio and maybe even tRumpf, if it’s a good morning when he’s at least semi awake and coherent, can admit that this Ukraine Peace Plan is only a concept of an idea of a first draft.
