Thanks Susan. I didn’t watch either, except for that one Tim Walz AOC clip of them watching (I thank them for their service, lol) and one of Hulk Hogan struggling to take off his shirt like he needed help to do it. That would have been a more viral clip had the rest of it not gone off the rails as much as it apparently did.
I mostly loved hearing Tim Walz’s very human reaction when he used the word jackwad, lol. AOC didn’t flinch, just gave Walz the info on who the guy was. As much as I like them both, I still can’t bring myself to watch any more of it. As they say in my corner of the demographics world, “I’m too old for this.”
This wasn’t an accident. It was the point. It’s what MAGA was built on—a message to the white, the bitter, and the fearful that their ginned up anger is a rallying cry, a political stance, and a weapon. It's a promise that America belongs to them and no one else. It’s why Trump’s rallies don’t even try to reach beyond his hardcore base; the idea that America belongs to everyone goes against the grain of his entire campaign.

Thank you for sharing the scene because I have never watched that movie. It’s perfect for this morning after yesterday’s horror fest. Who knew Dr. Phil of all people had drunk the Koolaid?
Thanks! That scene was a life saver for me years and years ago when I was going through a crisis, so I have a lot of strong sentimentality for it, and I think it is fitting for this moment. :-)
Great clip from an epic film...thanks Charles. I didn't watch any of the MSG debacle. I wont watch that nonsense. Let's all hang in there.
